General Information Shuchi High school...is blessed with beautiful natural surroundings, especially rows of cherry blossoms in spring and beatiful yellow leaves of ginkgo trees in fall. Shuchi has a long history; it was founded in 1876. Mr. Austin Weed was invited from the United States as the head teacher and worked very hard to introduce modern agriculture to Japan. Our school campus is reputed to be the second largest in Japan (about 36.98 acres) and one of the three birthplaces of agricultural education in Japan. Now our school has about 500 male and female students. We also have some short-term exchange students from Australia every year." "III. Additional Academic Information Shuch has two courses, the Food Science Course and the Academic Course. Each student takes lesons according to his or her own planning for the future. The students in the Food Science Course can take special lessons, such as park planning, food processing, animal breeding, data processing, horticulture, etc. The Standard Class students in the Academic Course can also take food processing, animal breeding, horticulture, data processing, etc." | ||
